Baby niece and update

She is now over a month old! Times sure flies!

Wedding plans are coming, but I've got a million little things to do before my mom and dad head out today. I'm heading out tomorrow so I can catch my bachelorette party. It will be low-key. We're making jewelry for the wedding, watching My Big Fat Greek Wedding, and eating luscious gourmet food made by an awesome chef, my sister. :D

Such a Whiner

So, I was busy today and clipped the dogs (professional grooming of course *polishes grooming badge of honor*) and then one of my bridesmaids "G" came over spur of the moment and helped me wash the dogs and the car. Gosh, I'm so lucky to have such supportive and loving bridesmaids. I just told her that I was busy today and she said that she could come over and help. That made my day.

So, while clipping the dogs, I had to capture a video of Libby, the oldest, doing her little whining "talk". She just sounds so pitiful, yet there's nothing being done to her. It's just part of her personality I guess. If she didn't do it ALL-THE-TIME, it wouldn't be so funny. She doesn't seem to realize that . . . .

Watch your volume, she might be a little shrill for ya . . .

Don't worry, she was right as rain as soon as I took her off the clipping table. And, my ears were relieved.

Future sister-in-law

My poor dearest future sister-in-law. She has just had a baby girl and had a hard time trying to decide what size to get the bridesmaid dress in for my wedding (as she was pregnant during that time). Evidentally, all bridesmaid dresses run smaller than normal sizes (take note there for those who are at all involved with bridesmaid dresses), so it's about an inch too small! I have no idea how, for she has lost almost all of her baby weight and I think she looks amazing, especially for having a barely older than 1 month baby. But, evidentally pregnancy did some secret body rearranging on her. It was a special ordered dress, so it will be complicated to fix the problem, especially as the wedding is in 10 days.

Grrrrrr, I HATE not having everything go perfectly for everyone involved. But, I'm sure things will work out. She's a resourceful and very well-balanced person. She's probably handling it just fine, maybe even better than me. I wish I had her collectedness at times . . . .

My stress levels

It seems that stress is the real monster lurking under my bed. Some people say that chocolate and sugar contribute to acne. Not so for me! I pop out with extra zits, my scalp becomes itchy, and I gain weight .... give me a moment to just jump for joy ....

About 2 or 3 months ago, all of these annoyances started cropping up with new cleanser, pilates, and T-Gel doing pretty much squat. Why do you ask? Well, because I was planning for a wedding, frantically searching for a decent job, interviewing for said jobs, and finishing a 35 page Masters Degree Research Paper. Now if that doesn't raise someone's blood pressure, I don't know what does. It's also complicated because teachers don't get paid till the end of sept. so I knew that I had to save in order to survive for 1.5 months without pay, especially if my fiance didn't get a job.

But, thankfully, my blood pressure seems to be under better control now. I'm still planning a wedding, but I finished my research and presented it last Thursday. And, I found a job, albeit part-time. I'm surprisingly much more in balance now. It seems that I am not one of those nervous, stressed brides. I had more important things to be nervous about. But, after the wedding I'll be trying to prepare my classroom and move within 2 weeks, so I'm sure my symptoms will come back to haunt me. Woe is me. I think I'd better go do some more pilates just to keep my mind off of it . . . .

11 days

So in 11 days I'm taking the plunge. No, not into the ocean, or the loo. Into life as a married woman. And what have I been doing with my time? Ummm, starting a new blog ... *sheepish grin*

I wonder what my fiance's reaction will be to all the posts that will follow. He could very well become a victim with his private life made public. But hey! At least they'll never find out your last name darling.

So, for those who don't know. The wedding is outdoor, at my parent's house, on a deck, by the water, with candlelight, burgundy decor, and 125 people. So, yeah, that's pretty much it! (Riiiight, my mother says) If it weren't for my mom's help, I'd elope.

Speaking of which, I'd better go help bake some cake, or I will HAVE to elope! Au revoir!
